His body was covered in fleas, scabies, blisters, and open sores, and he was severely dehydrated and malnourished. His stomach had almost completely shut down, and he was suffering from a serious infection that had caused his eyes to close and continuously ooze with pus.
Assuming responsibility for Trappido’s wellbeing, Maria Hermita, a dedicated veterinarian, embarked on the challenging mission of nursing him back to health. Administering medication and implementing rigorous treatments, Trappido’s path towards recovery was initiated. However, the road ahead was far from effortless as his survival hung by a delicate thread, making the process delicate and uncertain. The journey was marked by patience as we eagerly awaited signs of improvement.
Trappido, despite being small and facing numerous challenges, showed unyielding determination. Despite the difficulties he faced, he continued to eat without showing any signs of vomiting, even though he initially struggled with persistent diarrhea. Although his path seemed uncertain, Trappido’s spirit remained strong.
As time passed, we could see a noticeable improvement in the condition of Trappido’s sunken eyelids. Though one eye was healing faster than the other, we held onto hope and trusted that his strong will would help him overcome this challenge.
It’s been a week since Trappido moved into his new abode, and every little progress he makes gives us hope. He’s slowly gaining weight, which is a testament to his strong will. Unfortunately, he faced a minor setback as his hair started falling out due to the internal parasites that he fought off. However, we’re giving him the necessary medication and constant care to help him push through this challenge.
Trappido’s adventure took a hopeful turn as time passed by. His once infected eyes are now almost entirely healed, needing only a small amount of additional care. We were overjoyed when he received his first vaccination, which is a significant milestone for our brave dwarf, and we felt immensely grateful for the progress he has made so far.
