No matter the species, friendship can be formed in the animal kingdom too. An unusual duo at St. Petersburg’s Zoo confirms this – a European lynx and a domestic Russian cat have formed an unlikely bond.
According to Love Meow, there was a stray cat who stumbled upon some food near the territory of a lynx. Surprisingly, the lynx didn’t mind sharing and even developed a strong bond with the feline, thus becoming great companions.
According to Love Meow, the cat and lynx have a unique relationship where they seem to rely on each other equally. Many believe that the cat views the lynx as her maternal figure since she was only a kitten when they became friends.
The cat and the other animal at the Zoo have fostered a beautiful friendship that the Zoo authorities decided to cement by adopting the cat. The two buddies continue to enjoy each other’s company to this day.
